1. Who we are

V-Star Ops (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a business operations platform available at vstarops.com, operated by Anant Goyal. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can exercise your rights.

2. Data we collect

When you create an account we collect:

• Your name and email address
• Your company name and account type
• Your password (stored as a one-way hash — we cannot read it)

If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google instead of storing a password.

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service. We do not collect payment card details (payments are handled via bank transfer outside the platform).

3. How we use your data

• To create and maintain your account
• To send transactional emails (e.g. invitations, password resets)
• To provide customer support
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it to any third party.

4. Third-party services

We use the following services to operate V-Star Ops:

• Google OAuth — optional sign-in method (Google’s Privacy Policy applies)
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Shopify — if you connect a Shopify store, data is exchanged with Shopify under their own terms
• Neon (PostgreSQL) — cloud database hosting for your account data

Each third-party service is bound by their own privacy policy and data processing agreements.

5. Cookies

We use only essential session cookies required to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

6. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

7. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top and, for material changes, notify you by email.
